On 15 June 2026, the SIIT Executive Team, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kriengsak Panuwatwanich, Director of SIIT, participated in the Signing Ceremony of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for a Double Bachelor’s Degree Program between Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), Thammasat University, Thailand, and Ravensburg-Weingarten University of Applied Sciences (RWU), Germany, held at RWU in Weingarten, Germany.

This milestone marks another significant step in the long-standing partnership between SIIT and RWU, which began in 2001. Over the past 25 years, both institutions have actively collaborated in student mobility, academic exchange, and joint educational initiatives. Building upon this strong foundation, SIIT and RWU are also preparing to establish a Double Master’s Degree Program in the near future, further expanding opportunities for students at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

During the visit to Germany from 15-19 June 2026, the SIIT delegation also met with partner universities including the Technical University of Munich (TUM), Munich University of Applied Sciences (HM), and the Technical University of Darmstadt (TUD). These partnerships, established since 2002, 2012, and 2003, respectively, have continued to play an important role in student and faculty exchange, research collaboration, and academic development.

More than a ceremonial visit, this mission reflects SIIT’s continued commitment to nurturing sustainable international partnerships, strengthening academic and research networks, and creating new opportunities for students, researchers, and faculty members. Through these longstanding collaborations, SIIT and its German partners continue to advance engineering and technology education while contributing to innovation and global knowledge exchange at both regional and international levels.
