Applied Linear Algebra and Matrix Theory
My research interests lie in matrix theory, applied linear algebra and their applications in manufacturing. The primary focus is to employ computational techniques of linear algebra as tools in developing and analyzing mathematical models that describe the behavior of the investigated data. Applied linear algebra and other related fields such as Markov chains, multiplicative processes, and Perron-Frobenius theorem together can deliver advanced models and algorithms and provide a clear perception of the situation in many challenging industrial problems. In particular, I am interested in the applications of nonnegative matrices such as link analysis, information retrieval, and data mining. The goal is to develop a proper model for an application and create an algorithm that is capable of approximating for a solution. |
