Computational Engineering and Science Research Unit (CES)
วันที่โพสต์ : 2022-01-11
Nowadays, the advancement of computational theories and computing technologies allows complex physical problems that are inaccessible to analytical and experimental approaches to be solved by computers. The research unit for computational engineering and science (CES) conducts research related to this relatively new interdisciplinary field. Our team includes experts from the fields of engineering, science, and information technology. This diversity allows the team to deal with a wide range of engineering and science problems that are not possible to solve analytically or are too expensive to study experimentally. Examples of these problems include structural optimization, analysis of structures with geometrical and material nonlinearities, mechanical contact analysis, analysis of human structures, product design, material design, and computer-aided molecular modeling and design. In addition to solving problems, the research unit also aims to develop software and tools for solving problems.

I. Objectives
The main objective of the CES research unit is to conduct fundamental and applied research in the field of computational engineering and science. The emphasis is on the following areas:

1.Computational mechanics
2.Computational physics and chemistry
3.Engineering design and optimization
4.Biomechanics
The main knowledge tools used in the study of the above research areas will include the following:

1.Finite element methods
2.Artificial intelligence and machine learning
3.Knowledge representation
4.Numerical methods in engineering and science
5.Programming technologies

II. Members
The members of the CES research unit and their expertise are as follows :
