Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT) offers undergraduate and graduate programs (master and doctoral levels) leading to the Bachelor of Engineering (BEng), Bachelor of Science (BSc), Master of Science (MSc), Master of Engineering (MEng), and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the following areas:

Brief History:

1992 Agreement of Cooperation between Thammasat University, the Federation of Thai Industries and Keidanren to set up the bachelor's degree programs in engineering

1992 Admission of the first batch of students to bachelor's degree programs in civil, electrical and industrial engineering

1993 Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously laid the cornerstone of the Institute's main building

1994 Issuance of regulations on the formation and operation of the International Institute of Technology as a non-government and autonomous institute by Thammasat University Council

1996 His Majesty the King graciously granted the name "Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology"

1996 His Majesty the King graciously accepted the first Honorary Doctoral Degree in Information Technology (IT) from SIIT, which was humbly presented by Thammasat University Council

1996 Graduation of the first batch of students

1996 Master's degree programs in science and technology were approved by Thammasat University Council

1996 1996 The Cornerstone Laying Ceremony of an Advanced Laboratory Building was presided over by His Excellency Anand Panyarachun

1997 PhD programs in engineering and science were approved by Thammasat University Council and first PhD student and first MS student were admitted

1997 Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously presided over the inauguration of the Institute's new name "Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology"

1998 The Federation of Thai Industries and Keidanren jointly dedicated the Advanced Laboratory Building to SIIT on October 6, 1998.

1999 Inauguration of the SIIT Advanced Laboratory Building was presided over by Mr. Paron Israsena, Former Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries

1999 The Federation of Thai Industries signed an agreement with Bangkadi Industrial Park to provide approximately 6 rai of land and a building for SIIT expansion

2000 The Cornerstone Laying Ceremony of the new SIIT Building at Bangkadi, Pathumthani, was presided over by Thanpuying Niramol Suriyasat

2002 Opening Ceremony of Thanpuying Niramon Suriyasat Building and IT & MT Building at Bangkadi was presided over by His Excellency Anand Panyarachun

2002 Graduation of the first batch of doctoral students (3 PhD graduates)

2003 Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously accepted the Honorary Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Technology from SIIT, which was humbly presented by Thammasat University Council

2003 Cornerstone Laying Ceremony of the Sirindhralai Building at Bangkadi

2004 Construction of the Sirindhralai Building at Bangkadi was completed in November 2004. This new building accommodates the School of Communications, Instrumentations and Control, School of Management Technology, a computer center, a library, classrooms and laboratories.

2005 Graduation of the 10^th batch of bachelor’s degree students.

2006 Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously presided over the inauguration of the Sirindhralai Building of SIIT at Bangkadi on June 28, 2006.
