| Asst. Prof. Dr. Pakorn Opaprakasit received an “Outstanding Young Researcher Award” from Thammasat University. Dr. Pakorn’s research has focused on degradable polymers and spectroscopic characterization of materials. During his four years at SIIT, Dr. Pakorn has published more than 8 journal articles and 9 articles in peer-reviewed proceedings. He is currently supervising one doctoral student and four master’s degree students, and co-advising two master’s degree students. Dr. Pakorn has received research grants from various agencies, namely, the Thailand Research Fund (TRF), the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), Asian Institute of Technology - The Royal Thai Government Fund (AITRTG), and Thammasat University (TU).
Dr. Sumet Tantivejkul, the President of Thammasat University Council, presented the award to Asst. Prof. Dr. Pakorn Opaprakasit at the “Thammasat University Researchers’ Day”, celebrated on 18 November 2008. |
