| Mr. Panuwat Joyklad, a Ph.D. candidate of the School of Civil Engineering and Technology of SIIT, received the “Best Presentation Award” in the Field of Structural Engineering and Materials at the Sixth Regional Symposium on Infrastructure Development (RSID6), which was held from 12 to 13 January 2009, Bangkok, Thailand. Mr. Panuwat’s presentation was on “Assessment of Seismic Performance of Existing Bridge Piers in Bangkok”. The conference was jointly organized by Kasetsart University, Thailand; Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan; and the University of the Philippines Diliman, the Philippines.
Mr. Panuwat’s doctoral study at SIIT is under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Amorn Pimanmas. His study is supported by a grant from the Royal Golden Jubilee Ph.D. Program of the Thailand Research Fund, which was granted to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Amorn Pimanmas for supporting a doctoral student. |
