| The Environmental Technology curriculum at SIIT covers a broad spectrum of environmental issues which incorporate all areas of the environment including engineering, science and management. The fundamental engineering, scientific and management principles are offered in the freshman and sophomore years while the specialized courses, which integrate the aforementioned knowledge into environmental disciplines and processes, are offered in the junior and senior years. A broad nature of the curriculum offers a great flexibility to students in different background education to participate in the program with great success and be able to streamline upon students' interest and focus. Courses taught in the Program enables students to identify important issues, evaluate available information, and apply knowledge toward the solution of environmental problems, as well as provides basic tools needed for risk analyses and decision making. Skill acquires by the students can then be applied for sustainable development and to protect the environment in general. |
